E-commerce, media and self-media lists sort by sales, ratings or even ads, and some mix instant with storage models. Read the methodology first.
Three Rules
- Separate storage from instant — mixing them makes a list useless.
- Lock capacity (5L/6L/10L) by household size before comparing brands.
- Check tank warranty years — a better quality signal than rank.
Brand Tiers (Storage)
- Tier 1: Midea, Haier, A.O. Smith — full lineups, dense service networks.
- Value tier: Supor, Vanward, Macro, AUX — strong in the 400-600 CNY band.
- Regional brands: fast local service, good for bulk retrofits.
